Self centralizing troughing set
The self-centralizing troughing set is specifically
designed for conveyors operating under challenging conditions where lateral belt movement is likely. Its primary function is to automatically correct belt misalignment and maintain the belt in a central position, ensuring stable and efficient operation. The assembly comprises three carrying rollers that support the belt load and two guide rollers that help redirect and stabilize the belt. At the base of the troughing set, a slewing ring with precision ball bearings allows the entire set to rotate 5–8 degrees, enabling the self-centering action. Installation Spacing: These are not used for the entire conveyor. Instead, they
are strategically placed every 15 to 30 meters (50–100 feet) or in "problem
areas" like near the head and tail pulleys.
By automatically adjusting to belt deviations, the self-centralizing troughing set reduces
spillage, minimizes belt wear, and improves overall conveyor reliability. This design is
ideal for conveyors in heavy-duty or uneven load environments, providing both
operational efficiency and reduced maintenance requirements.
